The fretting is over.....we are pleased to report that Richard is back on track having overcome serious overpacking issues. As he tells me today: "Mudguards on, saddle bag on, lights on, nosebag on. Ready to go. Weighs a bloody ton! This is going to be quite different to a quick blast round the Cheshire lanes."

I think he's sneaked some extra clothing in that huge saddlebag whilst Janine's at work.

ReplyDeleteJust switch to flat bars and put a wire basket on the front and you'll do a roaring trade selling sausages up & down the land..... don't forget the straw boater.
ReplyDeletePeasants! Don't you recogise a proper Gentleman's tourer when you see one? Commanding upright position, comfortable perch, capacious saddlebag and a complete lack of any girlie up-hill gears. Just the thing for a leisurely pedal out to The Jolly Orphan in the afternoon sunshine for a pork pie and a pint.
